Sir Edmund Hillary has been a HUGE inspiration to me in my life and I ALWAYS thought of him and Tenzing Norgay everytime I thought the going was getting hard on any of my climbs.
He said it best in the title of his autobiography: Nothing Venture, Nothing Win

As soon as I heard this famous Kiwi had passed, I thought about you. There were so many shrines to Hillary in the Himalayas. He was revered for his courage and kindness throughout Northern India and Nepal.
Let's do Kili in his honor.
